Homework: Jamming Essentials

Congratulations on making it to the end of the Lead Guitar module! Now it's time to put everything you've learned into practice.

1. Review the Guide

Read through the supplemental Jamming Guide and familiarize yourself with the five core principles of a great jam:

• Stay in Tune

• Stay in Time

• Stay in Key

• Serve the Song

• Look Up & Communicate

2. Jam!

Put on a backing track or play with other musicians and keep these five principles in mind. Don't worry about playing fast or showing off—focus on making the music sound great.

3. Keep Learning

Remember, every jam is an opportunity to improve. The more you play with others, the more confident and musical you'll become.
